Straight to Hell
Kazuko Hosoki was Japan's most famous fortune teller, a fixture on TV and at the top of the bestseller lists. The series asks who she really was behind the rumours of spiritual scams and underworld connections, and whether she was, as the tagline puts it, a queen of fortune or a master of deception. It is a drama about a public figure rather than a documentary.
Episodes run around 55m and follow her life in order, so begin with the first. Erika Toda plays Kazuko Hosoki. Sairi Ito appears as Minori Uozumi and Toko Miura as Chiyoko Shimakura, with Kento Hayashi and Toma Ikuta also in the cast. No director is named. The series is rated TV-14.
IMDb voters have given it 7.4 from 130 votes; there is no Kinopoisk score.
