Goolagong
Goolagong is a 2026 drama series that tells the true-life story of Evonne Goolagong, the world champion tennis player and one of Australia's greatest and most loved sporting figures. The synopsis frames it as an inspiring account of her life, following her from her beginnings to the top of the sport, though it keeps the details of that path to the episodes themselves.
Lila McGuire plays Evonne Goolagong, later Evonne Cawley, and Felix Mallard plays Roger Cawley. Marton Csokas appears as Vic Edwards and Luke Carroll as Kenny Goolagong. Wayne Blair directs, having previously made Septembers of Shiraz and a version of Dirty Dancing. Episodes run around 50m, and since this is a life story told in order, the first episode is the place to start.
Early viewers have rated it well: the series holds 7.3 on IMDb from 174 votes.
