The Faithful
This event series retells the origins of three of the world's great faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, through the eyes of the women whose descendants would shape them. They are courageous and passionate, but also flawed, and the drama stays close to their choices rather than to the men usually placed at the centre. The tagline reads: "They prevailed. And now we are here."
Minnie Driver plays Sarah, Jeffrey Donovan is Abraham and Natacha Karam is Hagar. Alexa Davalos appears as Rebekah, Tom Mison as Isaac and Tom Payne as Jacob, with Corrado Invernizzi in the dual role of Angel and God and Andrew Mockler as Abim. The listing names no director. The series is rated TV-PG, and the generations follow one another, so it is best watched in order from the first episode.
IMDb users rate it 5.6 from 489 votes; Kinopoisk has no score for it.
