Young Sherlock

This series meets Sherlock Holmes long before he became a legend, as a raw, unfiltered young man already in disgrace. A murder case pulls him in and threatens his liberty, and his very first investigation unravels a conspiracy that spans continents and changes the course of his life. The tagline, think fast, fight faster, gives a fair idea of the pace: this is action and adventure with a mystery spine.

Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays Sherlock Holmes, with Max Irons as his brother Mycroft Holmes and Natascha McElhone as Cordelia Holmes. Dónal Finn appears as James Moriarty, and Zine Tseng plays Princess Gulun Shou'an. No director is named in the source data. The show is rated TV-14 and, as a self-contained first case, is the natural place to begin.

Early scores are solid: 7.2 on Kinopoisk and 7.6 on IMDb, the latter from around 26 thousand votes.
