Disclosure Day
A cybersecurity expert digs up secrets about aliens and decides the public deserves to know, which makes him a whistleblower and puts a corporation on his trail. At the same time a meteorologist has been recording phenomena that make no sense, and the two join forces to prove there is life beyond our understanding. Disclosure Day is a science fiction thriller about what happens once that decision to talk has been made; the tagline is "We deserve to know."
Steven Spielberg directs. Emily Blunt plays Margaret Fairchild, Josh O'Connor is Dr. Daniel Kellner, Colin Firth plays Noah Scanlon, Colman Domingo is Hugo Wakefield and Eve Hewson appears as Jane Blankenship. The film runs 2h 26m and is rated PG-13, so it is pitched at a broad audience rather than as hard science fiction or a violent chase.
On IMDb it averages 6.7 from 79301 votes, one of the largest vote counts among this year's films. No Kinopoisk score is recorded yet.
