Lazarus: The Awakening
A vigilante who has been resurrected from death sets out to dismantle a drug empire in Jackson. Standing in his way are a kingpin, a reporter with her own agenda, and a whole city being eaten alive by fentanyl. What begins as a search for justice quickly turns into open war, and the tagline sums up the mood: in the dark he shall be the light.
Sean Riggs leads as Ray Lazarus. R. Marcus Taylor plays the kingpin Demetrius Barkley, Courtney Grace is Vanessa Young, Kiki Haynes appears as Alisha Page and Britton Webb as Danny. Art Camacho directs; his earlier credits include Ruthless and Half Past Dead 2. This fantasy-tinged action-crime film runs 1h 27m and carries no formal age rating.
Audience reception has been rough so far: the IMDb score stands at 3.6 from 183 votes, and there is no Kinopoisk rating on record.
