Barreda
Barreda is a fictionalized drama built on one of the most shocking crimes in Argentina's history. In 1992, Ricardo Barreda was an unassuming dentist who brutally murdered his wife, mother-in-law and two adult daughters in their family home. What followed was as much a part of the story as the crime: branding himself as a victim, Barreda ignited a media storm and fueled a national scandal. The tagline calls him the killer who divided a country.
Luis Machín plays Ricardo Barreda, with Carla Peterson as Gladys McDonald, Mercedes Morán as Elena Arreche, Maite Lanata as Cecilia Barreda and Margarita Páez as Adriana Barreda; Marcelo Subiotto appears as Dr. Caceres. Daniela Goggi directs, after Abzurdah and The Rescue: The Weight of the World. The film runs 1h 45m and has no age rating on record; it is tagged drama, crime and history.
