The Muppet Show
The Muppet Show is a television special that puts The Muppets back on the stage of the original Muppet Theatre, this time with Sabrina Carpenter as their very special guest. Music, comedy and a whole lot of backstage chaos are promised, and the tagline makes the intent clear: it's time to raise the curtain. It is a family comedy with songs, built around the variety-show format rather than a story.
The puppeteers do most of the heavy lifting. Bill Barretta performs Rowlf the Dog, Dr. Teeth, the Swedish Chef and Pepé the King Prawn; Dave Goelz handles Gonzo, Zoot, Waldorf and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew; Eric Jacobson plays Miss Piggy, Fozzie Bear, Animal and Sam Eagle; and Peter Linz voices Lips and Statler. Alex Timbers directs. The special runs 32m and is rated PG, so it fits easily into a family evening.
On IMDb it holds an 8.3 from 4195 votes; there is no Kinopoisk score.
