The Gates

Three friends on a road trip witness a murder inside a gated community. They end up trapped there, hunted by residents who hold them responsible, and their friendship starts to fracture as a charismatic but sinister patriarch closes in. A thriller that plays out over a single night, as the tagline promises.

Mason Gooding plays Derek, Algee Smith is Kevin and Keith Powers plays Tyon, the three friends at the centre. James Van Der Beek appears as Jacob, Brad Leland as Christopher and Elle Evans as Elizabeth. John Burr, who earlier made Muse, directs. The film runs 1h 39m and is rated R.

On IMDb it holds 5.2 from 674 votes. Kinopoisk users have not weighed in with a score.
