The 'Burbs
The 'Burbs is a comedy series with a mystery running through it. In present-day suburbia, a young couple returns to the husband's childhood home expecting a quiet life. Their world is upended when new neighbors move in across the street, dragging old secrets of the cul-de-sac into the open, while new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their peaceful little neighborhood. As the tagline puts it, every cul-de-sac has a dead end.
Keke Palmer and Jack Whitehall play the couple, Samira and Rob Fisher. Julia Duffy appears as Lynn Gardner and Paula Pell as Dana Richards; the directing credit is not given. Episodes run about 42m and the series is rated TV-MA, so the comedy comes with an adult edge. There is no previous season, so the pilot is the place to start.
On Kinopoisk the series holds a 6.5. An IMDb rating is not listed, although 1287 votes have been counted there.
