The Bluff
A skilled former pirate has built a tranquil life for herself on a remote island, far from the bloodshed of her past. That peace is shattered when her vengeful former captain returns and lays siege to everything she has. To save her family she has to confront who she used to be and unleash the deadly talents she had put away. Betrayal cuts deep, as the tagline has it, and this is a story about paying it back.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas leads as Ercell, with Karl Urban as her old commander, Captain Connor. Ismael Cruz Cordova plays T.H. Bodden, Safia Oakley-Green is Elizabeth, Temuera Morrison is Quartermaster Lee and David Field appears as Pastor Bradley. Frank E. Flowers directs; his earlier feature was Haven. The Bluff mixes drama, action and thriller beats, runs 1h 43m and is rated R.
On IMDb the film sits at 5.8 from a sizeable 16343 votes. No Kinopoisk score is recorded.
