Project Hail Mary
Ryland Grace, a science teacher, wakes up on a spaceship light years from home with no memory of who he is or how he got there. As the memories return, so does the mission: he is meant to solve the riddle of a mysterious substance that is causing the sun to die out. With nothing but his scientific training and a habit of unorthodox ideas, he has to find a way to keep everything on Earth from going extinct. The tagline is short: "Believe in the Hail Mary."
Ryan Gosling plays Ryland Grace and Sandra Hüller is Eva Stratt. James Ortiz voices Rocky, Milana Vayntrub appears as Olesya Ilyukhina and Lionel Boyce as Carl, with Bastian Antonio Fuentes also in the cast. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller direct; their earlier films include The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street. The science-fiction adventure runs 2h 37m and is rated PG-13.
