I Can Only Imagine 2 is the second film in the I Can Only Imagine Collection, picking up after the 2018 original. With the breakout success of the song behind him, MercyMe's Bart Millard is living the dream of sold-out arenas and a devoted fanbase. Away from the spotlight, though, his past is straining the family he has built, above all his fragile bond with his son Sam. When hopeful newcomer Tim Timmons joins the band for their biggest tour yet, an unlikely friendship pushes Bart to confront what he has been avoiding, and Tim turns out to be carrying hardships and secrets of his own.

J. Michael Finley returns as Bart, with Milo Ventimiglia as Tim Timmons, Sophie Skelton as Shannon, Dennis Quaid as Arthur and Trace Adkins as Scott Brickell. Brent McCorkle and Andrew Erwin direct; their earlier films include Jesus Revolution. This music drama runs 1h 50m and is rated PG.

IMDb users rate the sequel 7.1 from 1083 votes, a shade below the first film's 7.3. The original also has a 7.5 on Kinopoisk, where the sequel has not yet been scored.
