Firebreak
On the day her family is packing up their home, little Lide wanders off into the forest. Before anyone can find her, a fire breaks out, and her mother is left racing through the trees to reach her daughter before the flames do. That single, simple setup carries the whole film: a parent, a missing child and a wall of fire closing in.
Belén Cuesta plays the mother, Mara, and Candela Martínez is Lide. Diana Gómez appears as Elena, Enric Auquer as Santiago and Joaquín Furriel as Luis. The director is David Victori, previously behind Cross the Line and The Pact. Firebreak is a thriller with a strong dramatic core, running 1h 47m and rated R.
Audiences on IMDb have settled on a 5.7 rating from 3800 votes. The film has no Kinopoisk score on record.
