Evil Dead Burn
Evil Dead Burn is the third entry in the Evil Dead Standalone Collection, following Evil Dead Rise from 2023 and the 2013 Evil Dead. After her husband's sudden death, Alice turns to his remaining relatives for comfort, not knowing they descend from a leading researcher on demonic possession. One by one her in-laws become creatures that feed on fear, and Alice learns that the vows she made in life hold even in death. As the tagline puts it, every family has its demons.
Each film in the collection stands alone, so this works as a starting point. Souheila Yacoub plays Alice, Hunter Doohan is Joseph, Tandi Wright plays Susan and Luciane Buchanan appears as Thya. Sébastien Vaniček directs, following his earlier horror film Infested. It runs 1h 50m and is rated R.
Audiences have rated it 6.7 on Kinopoisk and 6.8 on IMDb from 9870 votes, a notch above Evil Dead Rise (6.5 on Kinopoisk, 6.5 on IMDb) and the 2013 film (6.1 and 6.5).
