Dirty Business
In an Oxfordshire village, two amateur detectives notice fish dying in their river. They contact the water company expecting an explanation and get something odd and evasive instead, which is all the encouragement they need. The investigation they launch is, according to the synopsis, still going on today. The series plays it as drama with a crime spine, the crime being one that leaves its evidence floating in plain sight.
David Thewlis plays Ash Smith and Jason Watkins plays Peter Hammond, the two men doing the digging. Posy Sterling is Julie Preen, Tom McKay plays Mark Preen and Rebecca Saire appears as Eileen Hammond. No director is credited in the source data, and neither runtime nor age rating is given. Watch from the first episode: the case builds one discovery at a time.
IMDb voters have rated it 8.7 from 1237 votes. No Kinopoisk score is listed.
