Beast
Beast is an action drama about Patton James, an MMA legend who has left the sport behind and now works as a commercial fisherman. When his brother ends up in danger, he is pulled back toward the cage. He reunites with Sammy, his old coach, and commits to one final fight, a championship bout against the brutal reigning champion Xavier Grau. Legends are made in the cage, says the tagline, and the film is about what it costs to go back for one more.
Daniel MacPherson plays Patton James and Russell Crowe plays Sammy. Luke Hemsworth appears as Gabriel and Mojean Aria as Malon James, with Ricky Whittle also in the cast. Tyler Atkins directs, following his earlier film Bosch & Rockit. The running time is 1h 55m and the rating is R.
On IMDb the film holds 6.2 from 413 votes.
