The Shadow Sovereign
The Shadow Sovereign is a 2026 series, known in the original as Zhao Yang Gong Zhu, about a low-born scholar who rises through the ranks to avenge his father. The princess he once vowed to destroy turns out to be defiant enough to become an unexpected ally, and what starts as a vendetta grows into a deep love between two people who were supposed to be enemies.
Li Hongyi plays the scholar Shen Xiao, and Kong Xueer is Princess Zhaoyang. Liu Xuwei appears as Cui Jinzhi and Hana Lin as Princess Anle. Deng Zhanneng directs; his earlier work includes Sweet Trap and Enslaved By Love. The bundle lists no genres, no episode runtime and no age rating, and no audience scores have come in yet, so the revenge-turned-romance premise is what there is to go on.
