From the Ashes: The Pit
From the Ashes: The Pit (original title Jaras Enzar 2) locks three students from an all-girls school into an underground pit while a storm rages above them. Getting out is only half the problem; the personal conflicts they carried down with them surface fast once nobody can walk away, and the film treats those arguments as seriously as the rising water.
Adwaa Fahad plays Siham Ghalib, Aisha Al Rifaie is Marzouka, Wafa Wafi is Heba and Darin Al Bayed appears as Wedad; Aseel Morya and Aseel Seraj round out the small ensemble. Abdullah Bamajbour directs. The film runs 1h 28m and carries a PG-13 rating, so the tension leans on confinement and confrontation rather than gore.
IMDb viewers have given it 3.6 from 187 votes so far, a small sample that suggests the drama-in-a-hole approach has divided the early audience.
