Gaskins: The Hitchhiker Killer
Donald "Pee-Wee" Gaskins was a South Carolina serial killer whose reign of terror was marked by extreme brutality. He stabbed, shot, drowned and poisoned victims from his own community as well as hitchhikers, often targeting the vulnerable, and bodies lay hidden in shallow graves beneath the rural land near his home. His record of crime masked the depth of his cruelty until authorities uncovered the truth and the full horror of his murders came out.
The film carries the tagline "Based on a true story" and is tagged horror and thriller, so expect a dramatisation of the case rather than an archival account. No cast or director is credited in the listing, and there is no age rating on record. It runs 1h 34m, a compact treatment of a long and grim history.
