Golden Kamuy -The Abashiri Prison Raid-
Golden Kamuy -The Abashiri Prison Raid- is the second film in the Golden Kamuy Collection, following the 2024 Golden Kamuy. Each group is still pursuing its own mission, and the hunt for the tattooed prisoners has turned into open battle in which it is no longer clear who is friend and who is foe. All of it leads to Abashiri Prison, where Noppera-bo, the man who holds all the answers, is locked away. The film mixes action and history with the adventure of the chase.
Kento Yamazaki returns as Saichi Sugimoto and Anna Yamada as Asirpa. Gordon Maeda plays Hyakunosuke Ogata, Yûma Yamoto is Yoshitake Shiraishi and Asuka Kudo is Hajime Tsukishima. Kenji Katagiri directs. Watch the first Golden Kamuy before this one; the alliances here only make sense with that background. Runtime is 2h 4m, and no age rating is listed.
IMDb users rate it 7.8, though from only 54 votes so far, well above the 6.3 the first film holds there; the first film also has a Kinopoisk score of 6.9, while this one has none yet.
