Zhan Zhao Adventures
Zhan Zhao, a fourth-ranked imperial guard, receives evidence in a cold case and sets off to investigate on his own. On the road he meets Miss Huo Linglong, who is strong-willed, and Bai Yutang, who is driven by a sense of justice, and the three like-minded companions join forces to gather clues and catch criminals. Their inquiries expose a dangerous web of power that has reached into both the court and the martial world. The series is a mystery with a drama spine, and the case grows wider the further they follow it.
Yang Yang plays Zhan Zhao, Zhang Ruonan plays Huo Linglong and Fang Yilun plays Bai Yutang, with Zhang Yuxi as Zhang Yueshi. Liu Hongyuan, who previously made Reset, directs. Episodes run about 45m, and the first one is the right entry point, since the trio comes together only after the investigation starts. No age rating is listed.
IMDb users give it 6.9 from 244 votes.
