Widow's Bay
The mayor of a small New England island town has decided it will be the next tourist hot spot, and no amount of local warning that the place is cursed is going to stop him. The series plays the collision between his ambitions and whatever is actually wrong with the island as a mix of drama, comedy and mystery; its tagline welcomes visitors and then advises them not to ask too many questions.
Episodes build on one another, so start with the first. Matthew Rhys plays Mayor Tom Loftis, with Kate O'Flynn as Patricia Moyer, Kevin Carroll as Sheriff Bechir Clemmons and Dale Dickey as Rosemary. Smaller parts go to Mia Nassivera and Reinaldo Troya among the tourists and townsfolk. The data does not name a director. The series is rated TV-MA.
IMDb users have it at 8.0 from 1507 votes; Kinopoisk has not scored it.
Welcome to the island, please enjoy your stay. Just don't ask too many questions.
