The Witness

The Witness is a crime drama series drawn from the Rachel Nickell case. Her 2-year-old child is the sole witness to her murder, and her partner finds himself fighting to protect the boy while the investigation around them proves badly flawed. The series is as much about a family under pressure as it is about the police work.

Jordan Bolger plays André Hanscombe and Max Fincham plays Alex Hanscombe. On the police side, Neil Maskell is DI Keith Pedder, Mark Stanley is DS Ivan Agnew and Jon Pointing is DC Nick Sparshatt, while Paul Chahidi appears as Professor Paul Britton. No director or episode runtime is listed. The series is rated TV-MA, and its events unfold in sequence, so it should be watched from the first episode.

Audience scores are close together: 6.3 on Kinopoisk and 6.5 on IMDb, the latter from 4050 votes.
