The Bay

The Bay is a survival horror-thriller with a simple, nasty setup. Best friends Emma and Lani have travelled to Thailand for a destination wedding and take a tour boat out on the water. The boat starts sinking, and it happens to be in the heart of a tiger shark sanctuary. The tagline's cheerful "Welcome to paradise" is the joke the rest of the film plays against.

Francesca Eastwood plays Emma and Dani Oliveros plays Lani, with Alexander Wraith as Mandal and Ta'imua as Ruhan. Phil Volken directs; his earlier films include Extortion and Dead Sea. The film runs 1h 27m, and no age rating has been listed.

IMDb users have been hard on it, with a score of 3.9 from 559 votes. There is no Kinopoisk rating.
