Suzzanna: Witchcraft
Suzzanna: Witchcraft is the second film in the Suzzanna New Generation Collection, following Suzzanna: Kliwon Friday Night from 2023. Suzzanna wants revenge on Bisman, the cruel village ruler who killed her father with black magic, and to get it she takes up black magic herself, only to discover how immense his power really is. In the middle of all this she falls in love with Pramuja, a religious man who knows nothing of her secret, and she is forced to choose between her revenge and the man she would have to sacrifice for it. Horror and fantasy carry the film, with a thriller's pacing underneath.
Luna Maya plays Suzzanna and Reza Rahadian is Pramuja. Clift Sangra appears as Bisman, Restu Triandy as Kawi and Djenar Maesa Ayu as Nyi Gayatri. Azhar Kinoi Lubis directs; his earlier films include The Verge of Death and The Demon's Bride. The film runs 2h 15m, and no age rating is listed.
IMDb users rate it 7 from 84 votes, ahead of the 5.7 held by Suzzanna: Kliwon Friday Night. No Kinopoisk score is listed for it.
