Scary Movie

This is the sixth entry in the Scary Movie Collection, arriving thirteen years after Scary Movie 5, and it reunites the original line-up. Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer, the Core Four find themselves back in the killer's crosshairs, and the film takes aim at any horror movie IP it can reach. The tagline promises that every line will be crossed.

Anna Faris returns as Cindy Campbell, Regina Hall as Brenda, Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks and Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins, with Dave Sheridan back as Doofy Gilmore. Michael Tiddes directs, having previously made A Haunted House and Fifty Shades of Black. The comedy runs 1h 36m and is rated R. Newcomers can start here, but the jokes land harder with the original 2000 film fresh in mind.

On IMDb the film holds a 5.2 from 31400 votes. That puts it well above Scary Movie 5, which sits at 3.6, and close to Scary Movie 4 at 5.1, though still short of the original at 6.3.
