Scarpetta
Renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Kay Scarpetta returns to her old job as Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner and takes on a murder with eerie reminders of her first big case decades earlier. That earlier thread is shown too: in 1998, Scarpetta works alongside Detective Pete Marino and FBI Agent Benton Wesley on a series of brutal stranglings. A crime drama series based on the best-selling novels by Patricia Cornwell; as the tagline puts it, she's a voice for the voiceless.
Nicole Kidman plays Kay Scarpetta, with Jamie Lee Curtis as Dorothy Farinelli and Ariana DeBose as Lucy Farinelli-Watson. Bobby Cannavale is Pete Marino, Simon Baker plays Benton Wesley and Janet Montgomery appears as Janet Watson. Rated TV-MA, the show lists no director and no episode length. The two timelines interlock, so start with the first episode.
Kinopoisk users rate it 6.3, while IMDb has it at 5.9 from 15527 votes.
