Peddi
Peddi is an action drama set in a village that does not officially exist. Its hero is a labourer whose athletic talent is unmatched, and that talent becomes his weapon in a fight for his people's right to be recognised at all. The tagline, "Hurt. Bruised. But not beaten", suggests the cost of that fight lands on his body first.
Ram Charan plays Peddi Pehelwan, with Janhvi Kapoor as Achiyyamma, Shivarajkumar as Gournaidu, Vijay Sethupathi as George and Jagapati Babu as Appalasoori. Buchi Babu Sana directs; his earlier film is Uppena. At 3h 9m the film is a long sit, so plan an evening around it. It is listed as NR, without a formal age rating.
On IMDb the film is rated 5.6 from 7149 votes, a sizeable audience landing on a middling score.
