Parasakthi

Parasakthi is a 2026 historical drama set during a period of civil disobedience in the erstwhile Madras state. A ruthless, intelligent officer arrives with orders to track down rebels. Caught up in the crackdown are two brothers of very different temperaments: Chezhian, a hardworking fireman, and Chinndurai, a rebel. When Chezhian is forced to abandon his peaceful ways to protect his people, a game of cat and mouse begins that ends in a battle for justice.

Sivakarthikeyan leads as Chezhiyan, with Atharvaa Murali as his brother Chinnadurai, Ravi Mohan as Thirunaadan 'Thiru' and Sreeleela as Ratnamala. Sudha Kongara Prasad directs, following her earlier films Soorarai Pottru and Irudhi Suttru. The film blends history, action and romance across a long 2h 43m running time, so expect a wide canvas rather than a tight thriller.

On IMDb the film holds 6.4 from 8141 votes, a sizeable sample for a release this recent.
