Ontwaak
Ontwaak is a 2026 drama series that opens on a question: what happens when your worst enemy is the only person who can help you? Psychiatrist Melissa Human takes a job at Noordlig, a home for extremely dangerous patients, and finds more waiting behind its high walls than the patients. A sinister cult called Horisonne, led by her ex-fiancé, has taken in her daughter. To get her back, Melissa has to cross her own boundaries and lean on a brilliant serial killer, and every answer she finds opens onto a new danger with its own price.
Cindy Swanepoel plays Melissa Human. Around her are Chris Chameleon as Melchior van Staden, Deon Lotz as Kama, Carel Nel as Alwyn Bekker, Minke Marais as Adri Erasmus and Sean-Marco Vorster as Jeremy Beukes. André Velts directs and also appears as Hanno. The bundle lists no episode runtime, no age rating and no audience scores yet.
