MYSTERY ARENA
Trailer unavailableA live television quiz show sets six contestants a single problem: solve a complex closed-circle murder mystery, on camera, for a prize of 10 billion yen. The puzzle format means the suspects and clues are sealed off from the outside world, and the contestants have to reason their way through in front of an audience. It is a pure mystery, with the game-show framing raising the pressure on every deduction.
Toshiaki Karasawa leads the cast as Momotaro Kabayama, alongside Mana Ashida as Ichiko, Toko Miura as Sango, Nobuyuki Suzuki as Gamble and Reina Triendl as Reika Monteleone. So Okuno, Shohei Uno and Toru Nomaguchi round out the field of players. Yukihiko Tsutsumi, whose earlier films include Memories of Tomorrow and The House Where the Mermaid Sleeps, directs. The film runs 1h 56m; no age rating is listed.
