My Royal Nemesis
A Joseon-era villain, condemned to die, opens her eyes in modern-day Seoul. The world has changed completely, but her fate may not have, and the one person who could help her rewrite it is a ruthless chaebol heir with his own agenda. The series mixes period drama, comedy and fantasy, and its tagline sums up the setup: the villainess meets a new world.
This is a self-contained series, so the first episode is the place to begin. Lim Ji-yeon carries the double role of Kang Dan-shim and Shin Seo-ri, while Heo Nam-jun plays Cha Se-gye, a part that also has a Joseon-era counterpart in Yi Hyeon. Jang Seung-jo appears as Choi Moon-do and King An-jeong, Lee Se-Hee is Yun Ji-hyo and Kim Min-seok plays Bae Gwang-nam. Han Tae-sob directs, having previously made Cheer Up. The series carries a TV-14 rating.
