Facing El Chapo
Two Mexican officers cross a ruthless cartel boss and have to survive the final hours of their shift. That is the whole set-up, and the film keeps to it: a countdown, two men in uniform and a boss with the means to make the countdown short. The original title, La Captura, and the title Facing El Chapo both point to who that boss is.
Alfonso Herrera plays Carmona and Hector Kotsifakis is El Chapo Guzmán, with Juan Pablo Cruz García as Cholo Iván, Paola Fernández as Isaura and Antonio Fortier as Barraza; Allan Durell and Gerardo Trejoluna appear as Ortega and Valladares. No director is credited. The crime-action thriller runs 1h 31m and is rated R.
