Killer Whale
Killer Whale is a creature thriller with a simple premise and no room to run. Best friends Maddie and Trish end up trapped in a remote lagoon, and sharing the water with them is a dangerous killer whale named Ceto. The tagline, it's feeding time, tells you the film's idea of subtlety, and the horror and action tags point to a survival story that leans on the animal rather than on mystery.
Virginia Gardner plays Maddie and Melanie Jarnson is Trish. Mitchell Hope appears as Josh, Isaac Crawley as Chad and Scott James George as a figure credited only as Hooded Man. Jo-Anne Brechin directs, a change of register from her earlier romances When Love Springs and One Perfect Match. The film runs 1h 29m and is rated R.
Audiences have not been kind: 3.8 on Kinopoisk and 4.1 on IMDb from 3581 votes.
