Colony
A rapidly mutating virus is released in the middle of a biotech conference, and the authorities respond by sealing the facility with everyone still inside. Professor Se-jeong finds herself trapped with a small group of survivors and no way out, while the infected around them undergo horrific transformations. The tagline is blunt about the job at hand: survive the hive. It plays as action horror with a science-fiction engine, keeping the story locked inside one building.
Jun Ji-hyun leads as Kwon Se-jeong, with Ji Chang-wook as Choi Hyun-seok, Koo Kyo-hwan as Seo Young-cheol, Shin Hyeon-bin as Kong Seol Hui and Kim Shin-rock as Choi Hyun-hee. Yeon Sang-ho and Farhan Rana Rajpoot are credited as directors. The film runs 2h 3m and is rated R for its body-horror violence.
IMDb users have it at 7.3 from 185 votes, a strong early response for a contained outbreak thriller.
