Rooks

Rooks is a mystery and action series set in 1947. Police captain Alexander Ratnikov investigates a series of murders in Leningrad, and the trail leads to Pavel Vedernikov, a fish-farm technologist who is secretly former concentration-camp deputy Gunther Seiler. Ratnikov pursues him because Seiler is also the only clue to the captain's daughter, who disappeared during the war.

Artyom Tkachenko plays Aleksandr Ratnikov, Aleksey Makarov plays Pavel Vedernikov and Gyunter Zeyler, and Evgeniya Dmitrieva plays Emma Markovna. Ilya Maximov directs the series; his earlier film Spy Games: Blueberry Pie is also listed.
