Radioactive Emergency
A massive radiological disaster is unfolding, and a handful of physicists and doctors are racing to contain it and save thousands of lives. The series is based on the real-life Cesium-137 accident, as its tagline states, and plays as a drama with mystery and action elements rather than a documentary reconstruction.
Johnny Massaro plays Márcio and Paulo Gorgulho is Dr. Benny Orenstein. Tuca Andrada appears as Governador Roberto Correa, Ana Costa as Antônia "Tininha", Sergio Barreto as Policial Lopes and Bukassa Kabengele as Evenildo. The directors are Fernando Coimbra and Iberê Carvalho; the earlier work listed for them includes A Wolf at the Door and Sand Castle. The series is rated TV-MA and should be watched from the first episode, where the accident begins.
Kinopoisk viewers rate it 7.7. IMDb has logged 4868 votes, though no aggregate score appears in this listing.
