Don't Say Good Luck
Sophie Birenbaum has been cast as the lead in her high school musical and is ready for the spotlight. Before opening night arrives, though, her family starts producing more drama than anything on the stage, and she has to keep both performances going at once.
Don't Say Good Luck mixes comedy, music and family drama over 1h 36m and is rated PG-13. Sunny Sandler plays Sophie, with Melanie Lynskey and Max Greenfield as her parents Elizabeth and Ted Birenbaum, Matan Friedman and Eitan Friedman as her brothers Caleb and Ethan, and Bebe Neuwirth as Linda. Scarlett Estevez appears as Carolyn Morales and Emma McNulty as Erin. Julia Hart directs; her earlier films include Fast Color, I'm Your Woman and Hollywood Stargirl.
