The WONDERfools
A goofy group of townies stumbles into superpowers at the turn of the century, just as doomsday panic is spreading, and ends up fighting a rising evil none of them is equipped for. The tagline, zero skills, maximum chaos, is an accurate job description. The series mixes action, comedy and fantasy with a drama undercurrent, and much of the humour comes from ordinary people handling extraordinary abilities badly.
Park Eun-bin plays Eun Chae-ni and Cha Eun-woo plays Lee Woon-jung, with Kim Hae-sook as Kim Jeon-bok, Choi Dae-hoon as Son Kyung-hoon and Im Sung-jae as Kang Ro-bin. Yoo In-sik, whose earlier series include Vagabond and Dr. Romantic, directs. Episodes run about 1h 20m, and the first one is the place to start, since the powers arrive there and the group forms around them. Rated TV-14.
