Corporate Retreat
A group of young executives heads off on a luxury team-building trip, the kind with trust exercises and a charismatic leader. The retreat leader, it turns out, is vengeful, and the weekend descends into a bloody fight for survival. The film mixes survival-horror dread with dark laughs and twists, so the office satire and the gore share the same running time.
Odeya Rush plays Ginger Hayes, Sasha Lane is Lola Price, Elias Kacavas is Cliff St. Clair III, Ashton Sanders is Carl and Simona Tabasco plays Lola. Rosanna Arquette and Alan Ruck also appear. Aaron Fisher, who previously made Inside the Rain, directs. It runs 1h 29m and is rated R, which fits the mix of horror violence and profane corporate comedy.
The IMDb score is a low 3.8 from 156 votes, so the horror-comedy blend has not landed for most early viewers.
