Betrayal

Betrayal is a crime series about John Hughes, who joined MI5 during the war on terror and was at the forefront of averting the biggest terrorist plots on UK soil. Now in his mid 40s, married with two children, he is struggling to adapt to the new MI5, where threats to national security look different and he is expected to fit the values of a progressive work environment. The mystery builds from that friction between old instincts and new rules.

Shaun Evans plays John Hughes. Romola Garai is Claire Wardly, Anthony Flanagan plays Chris Beeston, Nikki Amuka-Bird appears as Simone Grant, Elham Karimpour as Mona Taremi and Omid Djalili as Qasem Asadi, known as The General. No director, episode runtime or age rating is given in the listing. It is a first season, so there is nothing to catch up on beforehand.

On IMDb the series holds a 6.1 from 1056 votes; no Kinopoisk rating is recorded.
