Best Medicine
Best Medicine is a 2026 comedy drama series about a doctor who is very good at his job and very bad with people. Martin Best, a brilliant surgeon, abruptly walks away from an illustrious career in Boston to become the general practitioner in a quaint East Coast fishing village where he spent childhood summers. His blunt, borderline rude bedside manner immediately rubs the quirky, needy locals the wrong way, and he alienates the town in short order, even though he is the only doctor they have. Small town doctor, as the tagline says, big time issues.
Josh Charles plays Dr. Martin Best. Abigail Spencer is Louisa Glasson, Josh Segarra plays Sheriff Mark Mylow and Cree Cicchino appears as Elaine Denham. The series is made in the США and works best from the first episode, which sets up Martin's arrival and the town's reaction to him.
