Alice and Steve
Alice and Steve is a comedy drama series built on a single bad surprise: Alice's best friend Steve has started dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy. As far as Alice can see, she is about to lose her best friend and her daughter in one fell swoop, so she tries everything she can think of to end the relationship. Steve turns out to be more than ready for the attack, and what was once a perfect friendship devolves into an all-out feud. The tagline puts it plainly: best friends make the best enemies.
Nicola Walker plays Alice opposite Jemaine Clement as Steve. Yali Topol Margalith is Izzy, the daughter caught between them, with Joel Fry as Daniel and Marcia Warren as Val. No director, runtime or age rating is listed for the series; start from the first episode, since the feud escalates from the initial discovery.
On IMDb the series is rated 6.9 from 2241 votes, a reasonably solid sample for a new comedy.
